Your own recipe for happiness will be a mix of pleasures, gratifications, flow activities and purpose. Here is an exercise to get you thinking about your pleasures more.

See how many you can write and also notice where some of the categories are hard, perhaps you need to explore pleasures through less preferred senses to get the most out of life. Do this exercise in a group and compare your answers. Take it in turns to describe different pleasures and notice if this recreates your enjoyment of them simply from describing them to others.
