I am trying to imagine focusing on God while a large group undertake this exercise. Its inspiration was 'Air', 'Hear' and 'You are my brother/ sister'. It is described as a way of praying for others using a bag of balloons and a pin.

1: Blow up a balloon as you pray for a brother/ sister.

2:
Lift up the balloon (and thus your prayer) to God.

3:
Pop the balloon – this serves two purposes: a) to represent handing over the prayer to God – the responsibility of this person is no longer in your hands, but in God’s hands. b) This also helps you to stay awake.
